THE ROLE
Nature of
the Appointment
This is an opportunity

Purpose of
the Role
To direct and
manage the day-to-day interpretation of the Contract and subcontracts
for the Company elements of the Project.
Principal
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review project
correspondence and become thoroughly familiar with its contractual
obligations and implications.
- Advise the
Project Team to ensure that the Contract is interpreted in accordance
with Company perspective.
- Ensure that
any differences in Contract interpretation are properly resolved.
- Manage Change
Management and Variation processes to ensure that issues which
have contractual implications are properly reviewed and that the
full range of issues is identified.
- Manage variations
to ensure that the Company's interests are fully incorporated
and agreed.
- Manage the
collation of claims in a timely manner in accordance with Contract
timelines.
- Ensure that
there is an effective document control process in place and that
there is full traceability of commercial documentation.
- Ensure that
the Electrical and Mechanical JV is protected both up and down
stream.
- Participate
in customer / supplier meetings.
- Support the
Supply Management Organisation both in supplier meetings and in
the administration of supplier contracts.
- Define, implement,
maintain and support effective claims management policies, procedures,
strategies and activities that:
- Promote
prevention of claims by 3rd parties.
- Successfully
prosecute legitimate claims.
- Effectively
defend against claims.
- Apprise the
Project Director of any situation that might impact on the fulfilment
of company obligations with respect to projects within his control.
- Ensure compliance
with Company, Group and Commercial Organisation policies and procedures.
- Work proactively
as a member of the Project Team.
